I want to know if I can submit certificate of Baptism for my wife in place of her birth certificate as she does not have a birth certificated available now. If we try to get her birth certificate now, it will further delay our application. On Baptism certificate she has her date of birth mentioned and names of her father and mother are also written on her that certificate.
Also, i too submitted my baptism certificate as birth proof and it was cleared through without ny rejections.
In my case my spouse was the primary applicant, he submitted his birth certificate as well as baptism certificate.
No I am the primary applicant and I have my birth certificate from my Church. When did you apply for immigration? I hope they will accept it as a birth proof of my wife also.
From your side detail I can see that you applied in 2010. I am applying in 2014 so do you think baptism certificate will still be a valid proof of birth for CIC?
I am not aware of of any new changes which has happened recently though. A friend of mine too has applied this year under FSW with baptism certificate as a proof and it was accepted.
Well if baptism certificate has been accepted for your friend this year then it shows that they accept it as a proof of birth. Thanks for your reply buddy.
