Bank statement alternative

a friend of mine is planning to study in canada and have taken admission in BSc Computer Science in a university. She wants to know if her gold of approximately 4 million sitting in bank lockers can be used to show as an alternative to bank statement???? she can show a letter from the bank manager verifying that....

I dont think you can show that as an alternative..u got properties.. Do u think u can show that as an alternative for bank statement...tell ur friend to take loan against that gold and show that amount in her bank statement

does that option work in pakistan as well? how would she be able to secure a loan letter on that gold? also plz advise as the statement is needed for min 4 months and here the loan letter wont be of this much of period.....would that gona make trouble here?
