My friend needs to renew his Austrian passport.
For this consulate asking him for bank draft/money order.
Problem is that he’s new to Canada. He don’t have bank account
Is it possible if i can get the draft made from my account and give it to him?
I’m asking because his name won’t be mentioned in money order in this case. But my name would be there.
Will this be an issue?
Thanks
But what I mentioned earlier will also be accepted?
This is probably a bit of a late reply, but if this is an Austrian Passport, your friend must apply for the passport IN PERSON anyways (due to Fingerprints being taken) and I just checked the embassy website
https://www.bmeia.gv.at/oeb-ottawa/service-fuer-buergerinnen/ausweise-dokumente/reisepass/
Which specifically states that you can pay in cash:
Konsulargebühr,
zahlbar in bar, per money-order oder mittels certified cheque
