Bank Account for Unencumbered Funds for Express Entry

Hi,

What type of bank account is required for Express Entry Application? Currently I have a payroll account in Standard Chartered Pakistan and the account is not in international currency. Just a basic payroll account in local currency. Do I have to have an international currency account with deposit of the required amount of unencumbered funds or the same account can serve the purpose by depositing the funds into it? In my case, according to CIC I require $11,931

You do not need international account. All you need is the equivalent of the $11931 in your local currency

Thank you. In that case I'd eventually have to add Canadian dollars as international currency to my same account to be able to use/settle the funds in Canada upon the arrival yea?
