I submitted Visitor Visa application (Business Visa) on March 25th, 2024 and completed my Biometric on March 28th, 2024. The status still shows as Background Verification as In progress and Eligibility as Not Started. It has been close to three months now. All my colleagues who applied with me got their decision long time ago. Only my application is held up. Any insights on this one?

I have recently applied for a Canadian work permit visa on April 10th . But it was refused stating that “non payment of employer compliance fee” (actually it was paid and the receipt was attached).
so I reapplied with a new receipt on May 25th.
but it is 1 month I haven’t got any updates.

my first application shows: closed
biometrics- completed, medical - completed, eligibility - completed, background- in progress
My second / current application shows: in progress
biometrics- completed, medical - not started, eligibility - not started, background- in progress

El estado aún se muestra como Verificación de antecedentes como En progreso y Elegibilidad como No iniciada. Han pasado cerca de tres meses. Todos mis colegas que presentaron su solicitud conmigo obtuvieron su decisión hace mucho tiempo. Sólo mi solicitud está retrasada. ¿Alguna idea sobre este?

I'am in the same and I submitted on 22th March 2024, biometrics complete on 28th march 2024, since that my background verification is in progress and eligibility not started yet, but I applied to study permit form outside of Canada, it's so confuse
