I'm unsure if this is the right section to be posting this. I officially obtained PR via my spouse on June 28, 2021 of this year. I am completing a series of US+Canadian police record checks for work and I had a question regarding police certificates in Canada. I had been arrested years ago in Canada for shoplifting but considering I had no prior criminal history, the officers decided not to charge me and not take me into custody/jail. Do arrests with no charges show up on RCMP police certificates? Or are they for convictions/charges/findings of guilt only?
