Background and declaration form 5669

Hi, im a principal applicant and my wife lives in Toronto and i iive in pakistan i have a query while filling out form 5669 for background check there are two questions regarding unhcr and refugee petition applied or refused
Well in 2014 my father faced some religious persecution and he applied for a refugee petition which was denied and my family including me were nominated in that form even though i i wasn't the main applicant should i say yes to both answers or not because they have asked in the form abt whether i had applied or ever got rejected refugee claim

I think you need to reply yes. But I will leave others who has more experience for this question.

BTW if you put something related to dependant in refugee claim in the title, you may get more reply.
