Hi,
What are the details to be written on back side of 1 photo (not all photos).
As far I am aware only Name & date of birth needs to be written.
Do we need to write, height, eye color, etc.
Regards
Cool

Check this out:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/EG7.pdf
It says: On the back of one photo of each person, write the name of the person in the photo and his or her height and eye colour.

u r right. BUT if u check the visa office specification at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/E37029.pdf:
then its written on A-6 like this:
Supply six (6) photos for each member of your family and yourself. Follow the instructions provided in section How to Complete the Forms of the application guide and in Appendix B: Photo Specifications.
On the back of each photograph, write the name and of birth of the person who appears in the photo as well as the date the photo was taken.
so to be in safe side, it's better to write all the details I've written before.

lamhey
this is new delhi visa office specific instructions. every visa office has its own instructions.
agree with echoes1978
downloaded the guide lines eg7 on page 24 it says
Step Action
1
Take the Photo Specifications sheet (found in Appendix B of your visa office checklist) to a photographer.
2
Ask the photographer to provide you with the number of photos required in Appendix A of the Visa Office specific instructions for yourself and each family member.
3
On the back of one photo of each person, write the name of the person in the photo and his or her height and eye colour.
4
Enclose the photos of each person in an envelope and seal the envelope.
5
Write your name and date of birth on the outside of the envelope.
6
Staple the envelope to your application form. Be careful not to staple or bend the photos.
agreed. well, all of us know the specification for each VO differs. in case of ND VO, its better to write all the details.
In case of others too, THERE IS NO HARM ON PUTTING THOSE INFORMATION.
lamhey
yes, it is better to have more information than less
Actually, when you take a look at the application form http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm0008egen.pdf , it says: Photos must have been taken within the past six months and must be identified by writing the family members name and date of birth on the back of the photo.
I used Vienna visa office specific instructions, which is similar to London, and there was nothing about writing details on the photos, so my only guide was the application forms and main instruction guide. I wrote my name, DOB, eye color and height.
Anyway, like lamhey said, instructions are different, so it is better to write everything, just in case.
Hi Guys,
This is the requirement for Photos:-

2
Ask the photographer to provide you with the number of photos required in Appendix A of the Visa Office specific instructions for yourself and each family member.
3
On the back of one photo of each person, write the name of the person in the photo and his or her height and eye colour.4
Enclose the photos of each person in an envelope and seal the envelope.
5
Write your name and date of birth on the outside of the envelope.
6

As my Visa Office is London, I will be doing the same as above which covers everything.
