Hi,
I have work permit in Canada form 20th Apr, 2019 till 15th Apr, 2021. I am having a full time job and staying in Canada from 7th June, 2019. Can I apply for B1/B2 visa for USA travel now itself or I need to wait for 4-6 months before I can apply for the same? Is there any criteria like I have to complete a time period of stay in Canada after which only I can apply.
Thanks.
Ultimately is likely more to do with which home country passport an individual holds and the reason they want to apply for a b1/b2 which has to be convincing. Given you are still only a temporary resident in Canada who technically could still be refused entry back into Canada regardless of any work permit that is more of a concern for the US.
If you read through this forum you will find similar issues when people apply for permits for Canada from a country where they are temp residents does not make much difference how long they have been a temp resident in that country whether they get an approval.
Unless someone else comes in with some inside information all you can do is apply with a convincing case to present when you attend the consulate interview and if you think applying after being in Canada for 4-6 months improves your chances then do that given every application is unique.
