Hey I have a question. I am being sponsored inland, I actually applied on the 14th of June through a lawyer. However the IRCC requested for the submission to be completed in a different portal. My lawyer advised me that it is a paid portal that immigration lawyers have with the IRCC. Does this mean I should expect my AOR in another 2 months? As my application has been submitted into a new portal today. Or will that be a quicker process as it will still count from the 14th of June?

well, it sounds like your representative applied via the wrong portal as a paid representative. So my guess is that he/she applied again for you in the correct portal and they may or may not reset your application date. I think we will find out once you get your AOR.

So basically this can cause further delays for my AOR? I asked my lawyer she advised that from time to time the IRCC moves cases to different portal. She said it should cause a delay. Is it true or just a cover up

A long road is ahead of us, as it takes 30-60 days to get AOR.

best of luck !!
Yep...Completely forget it. Otherwise you will be consumed and will be thinking 24/7.
Just set up schedule alarm 60 days from your online application date, to go on the following website and check your status.
https://ircc-tracker-suivi.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login

Or simply wait for the email from IRCC. (i know, its easier said, than done)

Hello all,

My application date was August 3rd
Spousal sponsorship family class outland
PA : Sri Lanka
Sponser: Myself in Canada with PR

Wow another portal for tracking. What is IRCC doing? As if it was not already confusing which portal to use for application, then another portal to pay fee, and this is another one to track :rolleyes:. IRCC is taking micro-service architecture too far :p:p
