Dakar embassy started processing application April 9, 2018

This is the last update we have received from the Dakar office. We kept writing to no avail. they don't even reply messages.
And finally last week March 28 we received a passive message that the application await interview.
Please, I need help regarding this issue because its been already 18 months since we submitted the application.

What could be the reason for the interview?
I am really worried at the moment and we are not sure how much time we have to wait for the interview to be schedule.
Has anyone from Dakar office gone through this situation before?

CRIMINAL RECORD HELP

I will try to call the call centre here today. We submitted a criminal record /clearance done in 2016.
They requested an original copy. From what I checked, the clearance is valid for only 6 months. Is this still true?

We basically have to do another clearance, correct?
