My daughter is 2 years of age. What is the school age for a child. At what age public schools admit the children. Can we get playschools or creche facility easily available in any location.
Children are admitted to school at 4 or 5 years old.
No - it is not necessarily easy to get a space at a pre-school or daycare if the child is younger. In some places good pre-schools have long waiting lists.
Minimum age for school admission is 4 years. It is sometimes very hard in fact to get a space, so as soon as you decide where you want to land, register your kid in a daycare upon landing. FYI, if you are in Ontario, there is also a subsidy program for families with low incomes in which your child's daycare expenses (which are $38 to $43 a day) are paid by ontario govt, but to be eligible both wife and husband should be working or studying part-time or full-time in the daytime.
