Asking for more time after getting PPR

Hi guys,

My journey for the PR is not over
So I got PPR yesterday, but I have to renew my passport first since my current expired in december. It's should take between 3 and 8 weeks to get my new passport, based on what my ambassy told me.

I sent an email to ottawa to explain my situation and asking more time to send my passport to them.

So my question is, what happen next? do they reply something to you?
Is there someone who was in the same situation?

Yes they will reply. They can give up to 60 days in your case since you say 8 weeks.

So they actually answer to my email today, and what they said was that the 6 months validity of my passeport doesn't apply to me since I am already living in Canada. It's for people from outside. And that I could send my actual passeport now to them
