Hello, my friend was sponsored by his previous wife but unfortunately they got divorced after a year with mutual consent. Now, he is married again and now wants to invite second wife to Canada. He still have 2 years left to sponsor his second wife for PR ( 5 years lock period to sponsor someone else by law). So on what legal grounds he can invite his wife besides visit visa and chances of visa approval ?

Visit visa is the only option for inviting her.

If his wife wants to come on a work permit, she needs to qualify on her own through having a job offer with an employer in Canada and that employer getting an approved LMIA (so that she can apply for a closed work permit).

The other option would be for her to come on a study permit. It's an option but of course an expensive one.

Hpw much time had your friends lived together in Canada? in any country? Sponsorship can take a year so were they separated during this time or did they live together during sponsorship? Was this an arŕannged marriage or did ghry date or live together like a western relationship before marriage?
