Hi All,

My education background is as under

BSc (Hons) Statistics - 3 year program
Post Graduate Diploma in Risk Management - 1 year program
MSc Financial Mathematics - 1 year full time degree program

While getting my ECA done from WES, I only showed BSc and MSc degrees because Diploma programs are not recognized by Canada. My ECA report stated Masters Degree.

When I created my EE profile, I did not show PG Diploma in my Education background. Will it have an affect? Should I show it in my EE profile? If yes, then wont a question arise that why I did not show it at the time of ECA.

Also someone told me that when filling up nominee form for OINP complete details needs to be mentioned for education background. Now if I show it here and EE profile and ECA does not have this detail then will it have an impact?

Please help me guys.

You're free to claim points for any and all credentials as required. Which means, it is your choice to include or exclude some credentials from your EE profile and/or OINP application. You don't have to provide full disclosure on educational credentials. Similarly, IRCC cannot force you to have an ECA for each credential. It is your choice to get as many ECAs as you want for the points you get. In your case, that PG diploma won't get you additional points so it is irrelevant to your EE profile and OINP application and doesn't have to be included anywhere at all.

All the best!

Thanks Asivad. As usual a clear and concise advice from you.

If you only have this experience to show then you should wait for 1 year to complete because if you make your EE profile now, system will not calculate your points for experience as it is less than 1 year and requirement is to show minimum 1 year experience in one NOC.

Whether the NOC is good or not nobody can say. The only thing which matters is that NOC should be O, A or B category and as long as this is fulfilled you are good. Whether your NOC matches with your actual profile or not this is something you need to decide.

Also I believe with less than 1 year of experience you are not eligible for FSWP at this stage. Recommend that you complete 1 year and then evaluate your eligibility and then create a profile.
