I am a student and my family is visiting me for a 2-month stay in Canada on a TRV. I have not seen them in three years. On the ArriveCAN, we were going to choose "Family Reunification" but then realized that the proof of relationship status implies that the option is meant for only Canadian citizens, PR or a person registered under the Indian Act.
Should I choose discretionary/optional travel? Because it sure does not feel like this is one. Or should I choose other and let my spouse explain at the border?
