Hi,

I got to know, If some one has an arranged Employment, they easily qualify for FSW. Is there any one (or you know some one) who has arranged employment in Canada while being outside Canada ? I am to consider sending a CV to a prospective employer in Toronto.
Would this be some thing possible (I know it's quite a difficult task to get a job even if you are in Canada with a PR , given the current sucumstances). I am just trying to explore the opportunities and asking your advice as some of you might have tried this and already have some experience. Please shed me some light on this matter.

Thanks in advance and wish you all a very happy 2010.

cheers

Hi ruka,
Sorry to hijack your thread but I have a similar question like yours. I almost have an employment offer from Canada from a small company in Canada Vancouver BC and they have a urgent requirement to fill in this position. My question is:
1) How fast can the processing be done to start working in Canada in a situation of having an employment?
2) Any advantage if applied from US?
3) Does employer have to petition for work permit or we?
4) Are there any special provisions for quick processing like for special categories like Embedded Software Engineers( I remember seeing something like this somewhere)

Kindly help with your valuable suggestions..

Thanks a lot..

Its not impossible to get a job but from what I read in this forum, its a far outside chance of getting a job from the outside. I see a lot of people on trackitt with AEOs but they might have gotten it on international transfers etc. Some of them must have gotten it while outside without it being a transfer. You should apply for jobs but don't be disappointed if you don't get one. I have read on this forum about people where the employer is interested but wants to interview the applicant face to face first. Such things can make it tougher.

In case an employer wants an interview, wouldn't an interview on a webcam a smart option ?

Dear kingofudupi,

How did you manage to get an arranged employment? have you managed to get one while being outside canada. Please share

thanks
