Hi Guys,

With the FSWP on the brink of being taken down, the only option I foresee is to get an Arranged Employment letter. I have 2 questions related to it:

1. If I apply on job websites and get a job, I will be considered under arranged employment? Or are there any other restrictions? Also, will Arranged Employment will hold good when EOI comes into fray ?

2. My uncle is a Canadian national now and runs a business of his own. Will it be too risky if I ask him to employ me just so that I have an Arranged Employment letter?

Thanks in advance,
Rohan Gupta.

1. No - you won't be considered under employment just because you get a job from a web site. You will need to meet all of the criteria here (including having an approved LMO which takes 6-16 weeks): http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp?expand=arranged#arranged

No one know what exactly will happen with EOI. You'll have to wait and see.

2. Unless your uncle already has an approved LMO in your name I don't see how you have enough time to make this option work for you. Does your uncle have an approved LMO for the job opening?

No. I dont have an LMO right now. I dont think that they would stop Arranged Employment category till they introduce EOI. So, even by the end of this year, if someone has an arranged employment offer, he/she can apply for PR.

Please comment.

That's a guess. None of us knows what is going to happen for certain come the end of April. They may put a hold on all applications until EOI or they may not.
