Hi,
My girlfriend and I have been together since March 2014. We met in New Zealand, she is from Argentina and me from Canada.
I came back to Canada between October 2014 and March 2015 for seasonal work (I work in ski resorts). During this time we tried to get her a visitor visa here for 1 month (you get one month of paid holidays in NZ) and they were both denied for multiple reasons.
Since then, I came back to New Zealand and got a work visa (based on partnership with her since she is sponsored by her employer) twice and we are waiting for our New Zealand residency. We also bought a car that I put on her name (worth around $3000).
I am now back to Canada and we would like to do the same. I will get myself a ticket to show that I intend to go back to NZ after the winter and she earns +/- $45 000 a year working in HR and as a personal assistant and has around $4 000 of savings.
My question is do we have the chance of getting her a visa? How much money does she need? I have more and am not sure if I should just show that to immigration or actually transfer it to her. Anything else I could do to help with the application? We are thinking of applying for residency in Canada as well, should we lodge the application before or after she comes and visit?
Cheers,
Olivier

Both?
State the reasons.

What has changed since her last application?

She needs enough money to cover her expenses (no it doesn't matter you sponsor her).

Recent deposits are frowned at by CIC. It makes it look that you are just feeding them the information they want to see. I fyou are going to do a transfer do it in a way that the deposit appears in the latest three bank statements.

Maybe that is why you didn't got the TRV... Canada doesn't like to admit people into Canada that have plans to stay permanently. It is her duty to convince Canada that is not the case.
Hi, thanks for the quick reply.
The reasons of the last one was travel history, immigration status, purpose of visit and personal assets.
Since her last application,
-She has had another sponsored work visa in New Zealand
-She has a car under her name
-She has worked longer at her current employment (when we first applied she had only worked there for a handful of months, now it has been over a year)
-I have had 2 partnership work visa for New Zealand and one who expires in November which I guess reinforces the fact that I'm going back to New Zealand after the winter rather than her over staying in Canada.
-We have lodged an application for New Zealand residency.
-We have joint bank accounts, insurance in New Zealand.
Thanks for the answers. For a month trip where she would stay with me free of charge, etc. How much would she need to show?
Cheers,
Olivier

Since her last application,
-She has had another sponsored work visa in New Zealand so she is still a temporary worker
-She has a car under her name this is better
-She has worked longer at her current employment (when we first applied she had only worked there for a handful of months, now it has been over a year) So she has been in the job for little more than a year, and she is planning to take a 4 week leave, not good
-I have had 2 partnership work visa for New Zealand and one who expires in November which I guess reinforces the fact that I'm going back to New Zealand after the winter rather than her over staying in Canada. not important
-We have lodged an application for New Zealand residency. better
-We have joint bank accounts, insurance in New Zealand. better
Seems your situation has improved little.

At least 1000k per week after accommodations.
Thank you very much.
In New Zealand you get 4 weeks of paid holiday per year so it shouldn't seem to unusual.
That answers my questions, thanks.
