Hello,

I hope to start studying in Canada this year and so I wanted to ask if there are more restrictions to working with a student permit except the 20 hours during a semester when you can work off-campus? I know that I will not be able to work off-campus at first before I'm not at least 6 months in Canada or does it depend on the campus?

But when I can work off-campus could I theoretical choose do to all the jobs available to me? Or can I just do certain jobs?

Thank in advance for your answers! :)

As far as I know, you can start working the 20 hours as soon as you start studying. I have seen other people on this forum get a visa which states they can't work off campus though, so I guess you have to wait and see what it says on the actual visa. As long as the job is part-time and does not contravene the 20 hours, you can take any job.

Well, then I will wait but thank you! :)
