I applied for the student visa through a lawyer. I emailed him all the required documents on sept 27. I emailed him asking about any updates on Nov 8 and I got no response. fast forward to today no response. Now I understand that the Canadian immigration has a lot of backlog. so my question is, being that my country (Jamaica) does have an Canadian embassy here, I was wondering when you apply for a visa of any kind would it be processed in Jamaica or in Canada? if it's in Jamaica, I can't see it taking this long to get a response as I don't think that many ppl here are applying for it.
