My son's Indian passport is getting expired in Dec 2021. Our application is in process since Sep 9th in Old ECAS and we haven't heard any updates yet since we received our AOR on July 23rd. Is it required to have an active passport in hand for the citizenship application? Because based on the application process speed CIC might take another few more months it seems.

I received my test email today from Scarborough office too. I have same dates from November 19 to December 9. I would do test on Monday. Please let's keep each updated please. April 18th online. When did you sent your application please?

My wife just received her notice for her citizenship exam. This is great news, but our household doesn't use Windows or MacOS. Every computer we have runs Fedora Linux.

Has anyone attempted to take the exam with a Linux (Not ChromeOS) laptop with the Chrome browser? Did it work, or should I borrow a Windows laptop from a friend?

If you plan to travel in next 6 months with your son apply for it. Also, as its validity is for 10 years you can always surrender if need be.

There is no need for active Indian passport for citizenship application. In fact I applied with my son's expired Indian passport

My wife and I took the test on Nov 6 (Test window was Nov 1st - 21st) but the online tracker still shows "in progress". Used Mac and took clear images of our DL and photos, don't think there should be an issue. We also received the email confirming our test scores.

Should I be concerned? Call IRCC to check what the happened?

Thank you. It seems that no one from Vancouver from April got a test invite. I’ve seen May and even August applicants receiving their test invites but from BC it’s zero.
