Hi all still I have update on my new ECAS for my 18 old son and still no request for finger print , all of us have BG complete except him , this goast update from 3 weeks ?

No, it’s not urgent. It’s happened a lot sooner than I thought!

I’m assuming that maybe my spouses application is quite simple. Didn’t leave Canada after PR and stayed 3 straight years before applying. Has B1/B2 US visa. Worked for the municipal government in the past where they did a police check at that time. Maybe all this made the background and eligibility check easier? Who knows! Whatever the reason it happened a lot sooner than we expected.

Dear all - Happy to report that we got an invitation for Citizenship test! I have 3 weeks to complete the test starting 17th September! The invite came into my email about 2 hours ago!

New ECAS - I have updates on the same and Citizenship Test has changed to "In Progress".

If your son was 18+ YOS at the time of the application, he only got a ghost update three weeks ago and BG has not been completed it could mean FP are required, after the ghost update it will take from 6 to 8 weeks to see the update in the tracker about the FP requirement and after the dashboard is updated one or two days later you / he will receive the email with instructions. All you can do is wait, or you can try to call IRCC but they are taking calls related to the Afghans refugees and they will tell you that you have to wait all they can see is what you can see in the tracker as well.

Thanks another question what about our applications for me and my wife is it will be stopped till he finalize the FB or it will be separate and we can revive the test invite soon as our Bg is complete ?

I've received a Request for Fingerprints from IRCC today. I don't know if this is something we track on the spreadsheet...?

Also, ECAS shows 'We started processing your application on September 15, 2021.'

If you applied as family, it will stop until the other adult BG check has been completed!
