Hello All,

I am looking for some advise and opinion here. I am Canadian Citizen. I have applied for my wife's PR under Family Class Spousal Sponsorship (living outside of Canada). My Wife is currently living in India and an Indian citizen.

I filled the application and sent it by mail on March 15,2018 to Mississauga, Ontario office. They reviewed everything and requested for Police Clearance Certificate and Schedule A form which was submitted in May 2018.

We received an email saying they have sent her file to Delhi office and is currently in Delhi. All fees have been paid fully.

She went for her medical few days ago (July 19,2018). I am wondering how long would Indian Government take to acknowledge and review the Medical.

When would she be asked to submit passport and receive VISA approximately.

I would be grateful if you can throw in some light here and advise.

Thanks! :)

Once your medical examination has been completed the Panel Physician will submit medical results to IRCC for assessment........IRCC usually post the Medical result within 1 to 2 weeks.......check the status in your online account (GCKey) or through this site https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do

Most straight forward Outland Spousal Sponsorship follow these process steps (the order of the steps may vary)
  1. Application received at IRCC Mississauga
  2. CIC Mississauga start processing application
  3. Receive Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR 1)
  4. Link Application to Online Account
  5. Upload Schedule A form
  6. Sponsor Approval and File transfer to VO
  7. VO starts processing PR application (AOR 2)
  8. Receive Request for Medical Exam
  9. Medical Exam @ IRCC Panel Physician Clinic
  10. Medical Exam Result
  11. Passport Request (PPR)
  12. Pick-up Permanent Residency Visa (PUM)
Its not uncommon not to hear from IRCC for months after medical.......spousal sponsorship process completion time varies depending on the Visa Office and on a case basis.......will advice you assume process completion takes 12months to help reduce the waiting stress.......relax.....its a wait game.

Hi Wakki,

Thank you so much for getting back to me and providing the step by step procedures.

The werid thing abut Medical was the had requested medical some time ago. When she logged into check the status it showed that "we did not receive the results of your medical exam. Check your medical exam reqest message for details. She did not see anything under "Message about your appication" section, nor she received any letter requesting medical exam or email message.

Medical examination was completed on July 19,2018 and believe they (hospital attendee) submitted the results right away to Delhi office. Yes, I willl check the status regularly.

Yes, I am patiently waiting to hear back from government.

Thanks once again.

Its not weird, your Medical Exam was completed on July 19,2018 which is just less than a week ago.....if no issues IRCC will post the result "Medical Passed" within 1 to 2 weeks.

Usually it depends on hospital. Apollo takes usually 14 days to submit. My friend's wife did in Appollo in ahemdabad, they took 14 days to reflect in online account , My spouse did on friday and next monday means in 3 days it reflected that they got medical result and she passed it. Some of my friend's spouse did it from same hospital as my spouse did, they usually get updated within 2 to 3 days

@Wikki, what I meant to say was, originally we never received e-mail or a letter by post saying you're medical is due, please get it done.

@namonamo, Yes, she got it done in Apollo Ahemdabad as well. When you're wife did it, where did it get reflected within 3 days? IRCC'S web site or on hospital's database? So it sounds like it depends on how many medical exam they do that day. They might just send it in bunch.

Xaviour in Ahmedabad is faster in service. I seen 4 cases in which they update within 2 or 3 days and even that on IRCC website

Hello,

Got some update on IRCC's site. It shows "You passed the medical exam". According to Wakki, next step would be a request for Passport Request (PPR). Where would we see that?

Three things still remaining from their end which we have already submitted:

(1) Review of eligibility: reviewing whether you meet eligibility requirements.

(2) Review of additional Documents: are reviewing additional docs you provided.

(3) Background Check: are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more info.

Mine is also same. I didn't hear back from them yet. My friend applied 15 days after me and he received transfer of file to New Delhi embassy last friday. So I think it differs from case to case

Absolutely. It differs from case to case and believe it also depends on how many files they have in hand to process. Are you also seeing those three points that I mentioned earlier.

The part that I am confused about is, are they going to clear those three points first and then send the visa request or would they send it anyway while they're processing application?

Please let me know if you happen to know.

Thanks!
