My wife applied to change her closed work permit to an open work permit. She received the approval letter today online which reads "Your application to remain in Canada as a temporary resident has been approved" . However, it doesn't specify whether it is an Open or Closed work permit. Does anyone happen to know how we can tell what type of Work permit we have? Or should we wait until the formal approval letter gets delivered to our mailbox?

Wait for the letter to see what it says, if it for some reason doesn't clarify it then submit a web form to get an answer. If she doesn't have a LMIA job anymore then it wouldn't be a closed permit.
