I am an Instrumentation Engineer with 15 years experience. I had 5 years of experience as Instrument Technician in the past 10 years.
80% of my job responsibilities as Instrument Technician were similar to Industrial Electrician (NOC 7242). I got the detailed experience certificate from my previous employer with job title Instrument Technician.
Since the Instrument Technician category is not listed under the 29 eligible occupations, Can I apply under the NOC 7242?
Please clarify. Thank you in advance.
yes you can apply, job title doesn't matter, job descriptions should be matched but not exactly word by word matched as mentioned on the NOC descriptions.

Hi Ramzy2277,
Sorry for late reply.
You can still apply under 7242 by emphasizing on the electrical jobs in your job description.
My application successfully completed all the stages and I got the visa.
Last week I landed in Canada.
