Applying to Study Permit with Fall 2020 Offer

Hello,

I have an offer in a university in Quebec for PhD, which starts in 8th of September. Due to the COVID-19 situation, I received the CAQ late (applied in april, received mid August).
Since I will definitely not receive my study permit before the semester begins, I applied for deferral to the following semester (in Jan 2021).

My question is: will it be a problem to apply to the study permit now using the offer letter that states that the semester will begin in 2 weeks?

You should see if you can get a new offer letter.

It might take some time to get a new offer letter and tbh i dont want more delays. But at the same time im worried that if i apply with the offer letter i have then later they ask me to submit a new offer letter and also have delays.
What do you advise xD
