Applying SIN online from US

Hi , I did my soft landing in Dec 2018 and opened a td bank account and since then i have been living in US.
I got my PR card mailed to one of my frends address in Canada and that i have with me now.

Question 1: I didn't apply for SIN then and now i want to due to the option of applying online. I have a question, can i apply for SIN online while in US as i can provide my frends address to which my bank statements are issued to. Any issues of applying online while not in Canada ?

Question 2: Can i use the print with letterhead on TD canada Easyweb as a statement which has my friends address on it ?

You need to provide proof of your address, such as a utility bill with your name and Canadian address on it.

I have a bank account in Canada TD . I have a statement on my name and address of my frend. Would that work knowing that i am applying from outside Canada
