Hi experts:
I have just visited the new immigration policies. I have the follwoing questions. Appreciate if you could advice:

1) Can anyone apply for PR (assuming s/he is qualified under federal skilled worker category- as per new list) immediately after getting canadian study permit from outside Canada?

2) If yes, and when is the good time to apply, just before flying with student permit from home country or after joining the university? In both cases, which visa-office should the applicant select in the application to process the application in step-2 (once CIC approves initial application and recommend to send the documents to that chosen visa-office, by which time the applicant is already in Canada!)

3) Should the initial application (done after the study permit is given) should be accompanied by a letter indicating that the applicant has been granted a study visa meanwhile?

4) Does this affect the study permit anyway? any potential risk?

THANK YOU!
S!

Which university or college you applied.

in my opinion you would file your application of PR after finished your studies.

Thanks! I was speaking on behalf of other person who is going her PhD offer at Queen's U.

Any one else wanna comment. I still trust this is possible from home country although the applicant's present address will be changed just after the applicaiton.

PR application along with persuing Student Authorization visa has no collision.
you can do both at the same time.
