Hello All, my mom has a visitor visa and currently is in Canada. Her visa will be expired soon since her passport will be expired. I'm applying to renew her passport, but with her new passport would it be possible to apply for new visa from INSIDE Canada?

Please advise. Thanks

If she want to extend her stay, she need to apply for an extension (instead to get a new visa).

The extension is required when you have a visa, but you need to stay more than 6 months. However, in our case, her visa will be expired.

If she wants to remain in Canada longer, then she would apply for an extension - not a new visa.
