Applying for study permit within canada

Hi guys,

So my story is a bit complicated, i finished my undergraduate degree in Ottawa and worked for three years with my post graduate work permit, i tried to renew the work permit but it got refused ( i was not aware you could not extend it and my job was not willing to give me an LMIA). Immigration gave me 90 days to restore my status so I sent in an application to restore my status as a visitor which has been two months and will prob take about 2 - 3 more for them to process. I also have an application in with Ontario for provincial nominee program for permanent residency but I prob wont receive that AOR for another month or so as they have such a huge back log.

Just this week I got my offer of admission from university of victoria for a masters degree. Does anyone know how I can apply for the study permit for this? Do I resend my application for restoration but as a student now with the acceptance letter? and what about funds and so on? I want to make sure it is approved.

You can't resubmit your restoration application and cannot apply for a study permit while out of status. You'll have to wait until your status is restored before you apply. Alternatively, you can leave Canada and apply from outside of the country.
