APPLYING FOR STUDY PERMIT FROM PHILIPPINES (SEPT 2014 INTAKE)

Hi all,

I am applying for a study permit for sept 2014 intake. I have all the requirements ready (all of what is stated on cic website) esp. the letter of acceptance from George Brown College as well as the fundings. I would like to know what is the advisable way of submitting the application from the Philippines. From the previous thread I read, it seems like paper based application in the Philippines get to process quickly than online based application but those application was processed 2013. I would like to get inputs from those who applied their study permit this year (2014).

If I'm not mistaken, we only have a choice of Online application or apply through a VAC now.

"Effective April 14, 2014, the Embassy of Canada in the Philippines will only accept visa applications submitted either on-line or through one of the Visa Application Centres (VACs) in the Philippines, Japan and Korea."
