US citizen here with Canadian wife, and I've recently submitted my outland PR application. For all intents and purposes, I live in Canada now and spend most of my time here with my wife and kids, and travel to the US frequently for work. I still have a lot of ties back in the US too, including a house and company I own. FWIW I declare dual intent when entering Canada.
I've heard that applying for NEXUS will make border crossing easier, so I was going through the application when I got to the "primary residence" part. Will it cause a problem if I enter Canada as my primary residence? To complicate matters, I got a Canadian drivers license not long ago because I needed to buy a car here. The NEXUS application also asks for drivers license info, and obviously I'll have to produce it at the interview.
Should I just avoid NEXUS altogether for now? Or is it OK to go ahead and indicate that my primary residence is in Canada and enter my Canadian drivers license info?

Specify what the current residence is. There can be ties in US (as you are the citizen of that country anyway). THey are not worried about having ties in a country (whether you are citizen or not of that country). They just want to see the purpose of nexus. Just mention your current address , situation and detail. if not you might have trouble getting nexus approved.
There is no issue getting driver license / applying for health card etc. Lying about the situation is the only problem, let them decide on the application. I dont think there is any issue if the nexus is a genuine request for you to commute between 2 countries.
