Hello everyone,

I am currently living and working in Montréal on a working holiday visa (I have a German passport) and submitted my CSQ application on Monday (filed on Jan. 14th 2013). Since I have a nursing degree (16 points), I have been told that I am considered to belong to those who will obtain priority processing.

Has anyone else here applied for the CSQ as a nurse from inside Québec and can give me a vague idea about how long it is going to take to receive it?

Re: Applying for CSQ from inside Québec with priority processing

Well the link below in the Quebec Immigration website states for "PEQ – Québec experience program" (those who have Quebec work experience):

http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/immigrate-settle/temporary-workers/stay-quebec/application-csq/workers-peq/processing-application.html#time

can you speak french?

Re: Applying for CSQ from inside Québec with priority processing

Most certainly. I scored C1/C1 on the TEFÀQ and submitted the results with my file.

The "Québec Experience Program" does not apply to me since you already have to have worked in Québec for a minimum of one year at the time your application is being filed. I grew up in B.C. but unfortunately the québécois government does not consider that. Hence, I applied as a skilled worker.

No.

You already have to have worked in Québec for a minimum of one year at the time your application is being filed. The requirements can be reviewed on the homepage of the government of Québec.
