Applying for Canadian Citizenship

Hi,

I am currently on PR and I am eligible to apply for Citizenship. I wanted to know which website to use to apply.
I got confused if I should use the IRCC website or this website https://citapply-citdemande.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/.
I used the IRCC website to apply for my PR. I thought I can use the same site for citizenship and there is an option called "Citizenship: Apply for a search or proof of citizenship".
When I searched online I kept getting directed to the "https://citapply-citdemande.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/" website.
Please help on where to apply.

The link you mentioned is the correct one to apply for citizenship: https://citapply-citdemande.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/

You can use the IRCC portal later (after your oath is done) to download your citizenship e-certificate.

To add to the answer above, please note that the option you saw, "apply for a search or proof of citizenship" is not what you are looking for. It's an application to either confirm that a person is already a citizen and is listed in the citizenship records, or to ask for a citizenship certificate for people that are already citizen.
