I am an international student. I just graduated from my college and got diploma. I will also apply for Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) next week. I found an apprenticeship program that I would like to join. The program is for 4 years and my PGWP is of 3 years.
As an international student what should I do so I will be successfully able to complete this apprenticeship program ?
Do I need study permit also ?
Is there another type of study/work permit that I need for this apprenticeship program ?
I don't think PGWP will work because I cannot extend it.

What kind of apprenticeship? The vast majority of apprenticeship programs require you to be a Canadian permanent resident or citizen to join.
You are correct - a PGWP cannot be extended. If they accept non PR/citizens, you would most likely have trouble completing the four year of the program.
