Applying for a Visitor Visa using an invitation letter

Hello,

I am planning to invite my family to my wedding by using an invitation letter.

The wedding will happen late next year 2018.

Should they apply for a visitor visa now with the invitation letter or will this complicate things? Should they apply next year close to the event?

I prefer for them to apply early incase they get denied so that they can re-apply again but I'm not sure how early you are allowed to.

Hi,

They are applying way too early for TRVs. You may want to check with their visa office if their applications will be accepted for processing or not.

Not sure why the reference to applying with an invitation letter as this is normal

Do you know what is the 'average' earliest time for applying? 2 months, 6 months, 1 year, etc.?

Not sure. Some visa offices will not accept applications earlier than 6 months from the date of the intended travel.

I suggest you send an email to the relevant visa office to check
