Hello everyone,
I am from Iran. I’m applying online for a study permit through CIC. I am 19 years old and I have no friends or family in Canada so my mother decided accompany me for a few months. I applied for a visitor visa for my mother through my own account (I answered ‘yes’ to the following question in the questionnaire: do you want to submit an application for a family member?) I also introduced myself as the representative in Use of a Representative form. Now i have two questions
1. Is a visitor visa appropriate for my mother?
2. If her visa gets rejected, are they going to reject my visa too because we applied with the same account and at the same time?

hi, I am in a similar situation and I just wanted to know, did you choose tourism as your parents main purpose of visit, and also did you mention in your letter of purpose that a parent will be accompanying you? Also could you please let me know if your mother mentioned that she will be there to help you settle in on her letter?
