Applying for a study permit again due to change in DLI

I was approved for a study permit last year to pursue high school education in Canada. At the time I was in grade 12, now that I completed my hs I was wondering if I need to reapply for a new study permit or if I can use the one I current have. I also changed DLI and realized that my student permit was cancelled. Unless I’m confused here, I need to reapply for a new study permit because I changed DLI while I was outside Canada ???
