Hi, I'm just planning. I'm a Thai citizen and will complete my MBBS course at Auckland (New Zealand) in 2019~2020.
Can I work in Canada and apply to be a permanent resident/citizen there?
And will I be able to go through the fast-track application processes? (Are doctors lacking in Canada?)
And is it very hard to get a place for medical residency/fellowship there??
Please advise me on this!
Thank you! ;D
No - doctors unfortunately aren't on the desired occupations list at this time.
And no - you won't be able to work here as soon as you arrived.
To work as a doctor in Canada, you will have to go through a re-certification process since it's a regulated profession. My understanding is that this process typically takes several years.
