Hello friends,

I need info on applying for a Canada visitor visa from 3rd country.

My parents are Indian citizens and hold Indian passports. They are traveling to the US in March and then planning to visit me (In June) in Canada. So, I wanted to know how can I apply for their Canada visit visa in the US.

I appreciate it if anyone has already gone through this process and provided me with more information on this.

Apply for the Canadian TRV now from their home country. If the TRV is approved once they are already in the US, they can request visa stamping there.

Waiting to apply until they are in the US is risky. The processing times are only estimates and we are seeing many wait much longer right now.

Forget about time lines , just apply through New portal from India and than travel to US. Hopefully they will respond soon. U can’t Pply from third country unless u r resident there and living there for atleast 6 months

Submit quickly they are responding quickly these days specially for applications submitted through new portal
