Hi,
I am new here and I need a help/advice from you guys.
I am planning to apply for PR under Skilled Worker Class - Arranged Employment.
My work permit (with a positive LMO) is valid until October, 2013. I have a permanent full time job contract, working for that company since October, 2011.
When I was filling out all applications, there was one statement what made me worried - "your work permit must also be valid at the time your permanent resident visa is issued", so I talked with an Immigration Consultant and got really confused. He told me that I will need to apply for one more LMO to get my work permit valid in that time when PR will be issued (that could be approx. after 16 months).
I thought that if I have applied for PR and my temporary work permit ends, I can get implied status and still keep working and waiting for my PR.
Has anyone gone through the same situation?

No - you won't get implied status. If your work permit expires before you become a PR, you'll need to obtain another LMO and renew your work permit. Applying for PR under Skilled Worker Class - Arranged Employment gives you no special status with regards to your work permit. You still have to renew it - just like everyone else.

Strange.. Also my HR Manager at work told me that I just have to apply and I can still work all the time until CIC is processing my application.
