Dear all,
I am going to apply student permit. My spouse + 2 kids ( all 4 members)
My study program is Master program and it is 2 years. (Manitoba)
I have 100% scholarship ,so no need to pay tution fees for the master program.
So based on IRCC how much funds do I need to show?
Please guide me

$38k.
Thanks.
Even though, my master program has 2 years.
Based on IRCC, Is it sufficient 1 year only ?
1) Only 38346$
2) Or 38346$*2 = 76692$
Agreed.
So we have to prove strong financial funding for rest of the study period. (EXCEPT 1 st year]

You show minimum of $38k in the bank (cash) over the past 4 months. That is what you show. This doesn’t include tuition which you say is covered.

38$ k plus
air ticket ( up and down)
first year tution fees
correct?

Correct. You have to figure out if this is enough for you to find a rental/utilities/phone, furniture, food, transportation, health/medical needs not covered through health insurance etc. Assume you and spouse will not have a job immediately.
Noted.
My main concern is VISA success rate for above condition.
I got the University offer with 18000$ for fisrt year. So I can justify my tution fees there.
so how much total do I need to show money?
38 + air ticket (up and down)
Assume 50$ k enough??

$50k should be enough. Funds are just one part. You need to justify costs by showing education and career advancement when you return. You want to show that you will make XX more money than you do now with a better paying job and promotion.

You mean after Masters retuning back to local country? (Family Ties)
Prove that I am returning back to local country ?
and career gain and developments + benefits

Yes. You need to show why you need to take a Masters in Canada, and the benefits of a Masters when you return.
Yes agreed.
But my main concern is show money for 4 member family.
I am the student ( spouse, 2 kids there). As we discussed earlier, tution fees will be coverd by stipend fees .(scholarship of 18000$ per year.)
based on iRCC, 38349$ is the value.
Ait ticket would be cost 11000$ max. (both sides)
so maximum what do you recommend to show cash in bank balances?
Thanks

You need to show a minimum of $38k in the bank over a 4 month period. When you enter CBSA may ask to see proof of funds and that balance has been maintained. So if you include airfare, over $50k is a good amount. You really only need one way ticket. If kids are school age they need study permits. If spouse plans on working then start getting on daycare and/or before/after lists now, if required. Some people wait years.
