I finished my master's degree and currently working as a professional engineer on a PGWP. I have 4 months remaining to complete the required 1-year Canadian work experience to be able to apply for CEC. I recently got a letter from my master's supervisor indicating that I was working as a research assistant (RA) in his lab during my studies (NOC 4012). I got 480 CRS points under FSW and 495 points under CEC.
Should I apply for FSW as soon as possible with my RA experience? or should I wait 4 months and apply under CEC with my industry experience?
Is it risky to apply as a research assistant while being a full-time student?
