Apply for study permit while in canada, spouse holds a PR

My spouse holds PR of Canada. I hold a multiple entry visitor visa which shall allow me to stay in Canada while my PR sponsorship (outland) application is in progress. However, instead of just waiting for my PR to come through, I intend to study while I am there.

My questions in this context are

1) Is it possible for me to apply for a study permit when I am staying in canada as visitor?
2) What complications can arise in application of study permit since my spouse holds PR?
3) Would there be any issues in application of my PR if am studying in canada?
