Apply for PGWP after studying in different provincial

Hi guys,

I am studying in Quebec, Montreal in a Post Graduate course in IT of 1 year (3 semester). After completing this course i want to do another 1 year PG course in IT background but i am not seeing any 1 year course in Quebec thus planning to apply in Ontario for another 1 year PG course.

I have two questions.
1) If i apply for study permit extension for another 1 year PG course will there be a chance of rejection since both my courses will be same level?

2) After I finish both courses 1+1 years, but from different province, will it count for a 3 yrs PGWP? Since Quebec works separately from other province, I am worried if they will count the course of Quebec if i apply for PGWP from Ontario.

If someone can please help me with these questions.

1. if you can justify your reasons for deciding to study at the level again in similar academic background, then you have no scare. getting an extension within Canada isn't as tedious as obtaining a study permit at the initial stage back home but make sure your academic grades and records are impressive

2. As long as the province is located within Canada, you can get a PGWP in any other provinces outside Quebec. In the case of getting 3yrs PGWP after a 2nd consecutive study in separate provinces is possible and most times this depends on the individual VOs to issue a 3yrs PGWP as your 2yrs individual courses equals 3yrs PGWP but most VOs might want to give 2yrs as this has occurred before but most have gotten 3yrs PGWP.

but what if I, study 2 years in Quebec and apply for PGWP from Quebec, then will I still have to leave Quebec to get the PGWP?

each provinces has their own rules that regulates their issuance of a PGWP. If you are eligible, you will be issued a PGWP in Quebec.

FYI: there are many cities/places in Quebec similar to Ontario and other provinces
