I hope someone can clear me on this, my brother in law has applied for his Visitor visa (first time) through a consultant. I tried checking his application status through IRCC Automated System over the phone and it always says Visitor Visa Extension. I have already asked him to confirm with the consultant as well but I was wondering if someone had similar experience here with over the phone status checking system.
Same things happened with me. I have applied for TRV for my family's first visit and call says extension. But the status of application is same as what is seen in portal, so not sure why there is a mismatch.
