I just have the tracking number.

Actually, Agents usually provide us the tracking id and ask to track on vfs website... On vfs website we only get a limited amount of info about our application... But we can link our offline paper application (tracking id) with cic website (consulate of canada) where we can actually get access to a lot of information.. like weather are medicals are passed, passport info.. and much more..

pls ask your agent to link your application with cic... I bet he won't allow you to do so because they keep most the stuff in their hands.

I just contacted them. They said that they will contact VFS and tell me the details in half hour.

They just misguided you regarding this bro.. Because you too can even call vfs and ask them about the status of your profile.. The same will be said by vfs what could be accessed on the tracking website..
