Applied for NS PNP visa and workpermit expires in 2 months,how i get extension?

Hi I applied for NS PNP under experience class on April 23 and my visa and work permit expires around july second week. So i am totally confused hoe to get my visa or at least Work permit extended. I think i can extend it once i get the PNP but now a days PNP is taking a bit longer so i was anxious about extending my work permit, what alternatives do i have , my employer does not provide any supportung document, so does any one had same situation. what options do i have here
