I have a PR status but currently outside of Canada. I delivered my baby and now we want to go back to Canada. I applied for a visitor visa for my baby and attached my passport and PR card for me and my husband. IRCC requested some letter and to pay extra 200$ so We did as they asked us BUT the application was refused!!!
And after 3 days i got email updates on my application and it was still REFUSED!!! After 4 days I received email to submit my baby passport to the visa office to finalize the visa !!!!!!!
What does this mean !!!
anyone went through the the same situation?????

Sometimes they do request a passport then send it back without a stamp. Would suggest sending in a webform to IRCC or contacting the local consulate to clarify whether you need to send in the baby's passport since the visa has been refused.

Passport requirements
• Please provide your passport or travel document, with a copy of this letter.
• There must be at least one blank page in your passport.
• Your passport must be valid for the duration of your expected length of stay in Canada.
• Please note that we cannot issue a visa beyond the expiry date on the passport.
Your passport must be received by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada within
30 days from the date of this letter. Failure to do so could result in the refusal of your application. Please ensure that a copy of this letter is included with your passport.

Oh OK. Then just go ahead and send the passport as requested; maybe there was an error in their rejection letter. Hope you have another letter for approval (else request for it, as they've asked for passport).
